Journey's End
This was the outcome of a time I questioned my identity. When I stopped looking every where else, I found it in Christ.
Journey's End
Finding a place to call
Home,
A voice to call
Mine,
Came after homelessness, voicelessness,
Restlessness
Self-imposed
Restlessness
Came after homelessness, voicelessness
Apart from the written word
Within which I constructed
A home, within which I found
A voice
.
I still whisper sometimes,
Then listen for
An echo, for
The sound of the voice I call
Mine
Knowing full well that
Home and Voice
Are gifts, are entrusted, are
Mine in stewardship
While a home is under construction
Elsewhere
And there too will be my permanent voice
Which will say
"Amen and Amen"
Without tiring
"Amen and Amen"
"To God be the glory!"
