Sketchy Memories of a Grandparent

Looking at old photos, I recall when my Dad's Mom was extremely distressed to discover the bean pot [remember the old brown ceramic pots? I see them for sale on goodwill's website sometimes] she had carefully prepared had burned dry. But I don't remember what became of that pot or how we consoled her. I'm sure some of us laughed, before being reminded that laughter was not appropriate.

I was reprimanded on another occasion because I wanted to watch something other than the Lawrence Welk show, and made that known to her--also not to be done.
