A MIDAFTERNOON OBSERVATION

Storm clouds appear
To assemble
Appear
As if a line of
Storm clouds
Appear
In the heat
Appear ...
And will vanish
Like fog
In the heat
In the night

This Day

This day the sky is blue and the wind
The wind is the green of the grass it moves
And the red of the shade it ruffles

This day the sun casts shadows which
Shadows which so elongate the reality
Of leaves moving as nature's wind chaimes

This day the sun lights and highlights
This day

Suddenly Sunset

Suddenly sunset
Illumines, evanescent
Pastelian glows

THE TREE OUTSIDE OUR KITCHEN WINDOW

How strange to see a budded tree
With blooms and dead leaves
How strange to reflect
How life and death connect
Even in me.
